{short description of image}David was 1841 in Birdham, the first son of Elizabeth Mayhead, We think he married Juliana White c 1862, although they had eleven children living with them, we believe the first two Henry and Emelia were either relations of Juliana or indeed were her own children before she married David. There birth place is given as Chichester although the rest of the siblings were born in Birdham.
1881 census found the family living in West Wittering by this time four of the children had left home.

NOTE the address on the 1871 census in Birdham as 97 Street, his mother Elizabeth was living with the rest of the family at 100 Street, Birdham "perhaps she moved to be near David after her husband died?"
